There are some challenges, of course, that do not pose the same degree of seriousness – and that is a good thing.
If you think your skin care routine isn’t working perhaps you should adopt a new one that is meant for your skin type. That happens more than you realize. The first thing you need to do is to find methods and products that are meant for your skin type. So, if your skin is sensitive or damaged or oily or dry or a combination of any of the above, you should be able to find a good and proper way to take care of the skin you have. Some mistakes are still likely to get made, however, even if everything else on your counter and in your routine is perfect.
We’ll cover a few tried and true skin care routines for different skin types.
We know just how irritating it is to deal with oily skin especially if you’ve been doing it a long time. A lot of times you keep doing what you think is best and it is to no avail. Out of frustration, you can even begin washing too much, or using an “industrial strength” skin cleanser to remove every last drop of oil from your face. That is a bad move, there. If you routinely strip the oil from your face, then what happens is your oil glands think they are in the desert. Then, what do they do but only product even more oil to put out on your face.
If you want to use a bar soap, then we highly recommend using all natural ingredient soaps. Regardless of your skin type, use natural soaps that are gentle on your skin. It is absolutely unnecessary to spend twenty bucks on soap from a boutique; we promise. You should only use bar soap on your face every once in a while. Even with oily skin, you can easily dry out your skin if you use too much.
The tap water in US homes typically contains chemicals that are harsh on your skin such as chlorine and fluoride so it’s best not to use it for face washing. Washing your face whenever possible with a purified or filtered water is a better idea. Dry skin is sensitive to chlorine avoid it if you can. Avoid products that contain alcohol or other harsh chemicals.
Don’t fret if you’re feeling as though the battle is lost, a bit of trouble shooting will help you discern the reason for it happening. Being 100 percent positive of your skin type is imperative to your moving forward with skin care. You can only start researching proper skin care after you know what skin type you are researching for. Look at the products you are currently using to be sure they work with your skin type.
